In our first episode of the new year we talk about the losses and gains in the transfer portal, the recent Hokie hoops struggles, and a couple big national college football stories, including the results of the College Football Playoff. We close out this one by looking at which players we think could step up to be the alpha dogs for each position group in the 2023 season.

This week we take a look at Hokies Hoops in earnest as we breakdown the victory against the Gophers in Cassell Coliseum. We close out this episode by circling back to football as we talk the transfer portal, the coaching carousel, CFP, and we give our picks for Championship Weekend.

This week we recap the Hokies coming out on the good end of a 1 point game as they snap their losing streak and douse the Liberty Flames in Lynchburg 23-22. This week we dive into another disappointing one point loss as we recap the latest letdown against Georgia Tech, a defeat that moves the Hokies out of bowl contention. We then turn the page over to preview a surprisingly solid Duke team as the Hokies are set to travel to Durham this Saturday to take on the Blue Devils.

This week we recap Thursday Night's excruciating 1 point loss to NC State in Raleigh. We also take a look at the moments in the game that discouraged us and the moments that gave us some hope. We then turn the page to Georgia Tech as the Hokies look to add another one in the win column against a banged up Yellow Jackets squad.

This week we put the first half of the season behind us and turn our focus towards the primetime Thursday Night game of the week. The Hokies hit the road to Raleigh North Carolina to face the NC State Wolfpack who are licking their wounds a bit after losing their starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

Bye Week Recharge
This week we roll into the bye with the Hokies currently on a 4 game losing streak after falling to the Hurricanes at home 20-14. We welcome on Hokies defensive lineman Josh Fuga to discuss the early season returns and how his game has progressed under the new regime. We then look at what could have been if certain Hokies with eligibility remaining had decided to give Blacksburg one more spin.

Know the Enemy: Miami
This week we look back on the loss to Pitt in a game where we saw legitimate progress overshadowed by game management issues and a handful of big plays surrendered by the run defense. We then turn our attention to the matchup against Miami as this becomes the last time this rivalry game for the Hokies will be played annually.

Know the Enemy: Pittsburgh
This week we welcome Virginia Tech Offensive Line Coach Joe Rudolph to discuss how his group is coming together and what is needed to improve the Hokies running game. We then recap the every phase disaster that was the Hokies trip down to Chapel Hill last Saturday that resulted in a blowout loss to the Tar Heels. Lastly we then turn our eyes to Pittsburgh as the Hokies face a well-rounded but less explosive Pitt Panthers team on Saturday.

This week we welcome on Hokies Sam linebacker Keonta Jenkins as we dive back into the Black Diamond Rivalry game and assess what went wrong against the Mountaineers on Thursday Night. We then shift gears to preview the Hokies Saturday afternoon matchup against North Carolina in what looks like a repeat of the 2016 hurricane soaked affair between these two ACC Coastal foes.
