James arrived in Blacksburg via the Winter Transfer Portal window after a breakout season at Eastern Michigan where he led the team in tackles in 2024. Before that he was a part of the Arizona State defensive front rotation and a standout on special teams.

The Hokies have recovered a bit in the recruiting rankings for the 2026 class after rough Spring of major de-commitments. We invite BCP favorite and VTScoop writer Matej Sis to help us talk through some the specific circumstances that led to this slow start. We also discuss some of the key commitments so far in this class and what we can look forward to in the coming months as this class continues to fill out.

The crew is back with part two of the Hokies Dream team. This time your boys are focused on the unit that put Hokies football on the map: DEFENSE. Special guest Coach Robbie Compton joins us to help layout the best of the best when it comes to Hokies defensive players.

We look at his initial thoughts and feelings around the Sam Siefkes hire and how he's feeling now after doing a month-long dive into the tape. We also look at where the potential pitfalls may be with a defensive scheme shift at this stage of the Brent Pry era.

The Hokies come off a bye licking their wounds after suffering back to back losses, including an embarrassing offensive effort against Clemson. We welcome on our friend Ben Byrd at Bull City Coordinators to preview what we can expect the Blue Devils to bring to the table in Durham on Saturday. We then take a look at the College Football Playoff Picture before making our Big Screeners picks of the week.

The Hokies put out another second half dud and the Clemson Tigers rolled out of Lane Stadium with a 24-14 win. We Tell the Truth about a Hokies team licking their wounds heading into their second bye week of the season. We bring on our friend Coach Robert Compton to dive a little deeper into what has turned into a relatively disappointing season for the Hokies.

It's officially Week Nine of the college football season and the Hokies are riding high after a huge primetime victory on Thursday night over Boston College. We Tell the Truth about a game that the Hokies dominated for all but a disastrous 5 minute stretch in the third quarter. We then turn our attention to Georgia Tech as we get to Know the Enemy featuring our friends over at WreckTalk. We wrap as always with our Big Screener picks.

We're back from the Bye Week to kickoff a fantastic Week Eight matchup for the Hokies. First off a big giveaway announcement to win a piece of Hokies history. The Hokies hit the bye week at an even 3-3 after taking care of business at Stanford for a 31-7 win. We Tell the Truth about a positive trend in consistency for a Hokies team that had shown flashes of greatness in the first month of the season. We then welcome in Chris Lester to give us his perspective perspective of the first 9 months as a Hokie player's parent and the first six weeks of this 2024 season.

The Hokies went down to Norfolk and shook the weight of history off their back with a solid 37-17 victory over the Monarchs. We Tell the Truth about a solid if occasionally uneven outing for the Hokies. We then invite special guest Larry K from the Rutgers' Knight Watch for our Know the Enemy segment as we get to know what the Scarlet Knights will be bringing into Lane Stadium on Saturday.
