We're joined by former Virginia Tech Hokies offensive lineman, current assistant coach for the Hanover High School Hawks, and Mechanicsville native Austin Cannon (@Cannon_Ball52). Austin talks about his new gig as a coach, shares some great Hokies Football stories, confirms the greatness of the TOTS rail, and shares his perspective and experience on athletes' mental health.
Coach and Former Player
Austin is a Virginia Tech graduate and member of the Hokies football team from 2016-2020. While he arrived in Blacksburg as a preferred walk on, Austin's hardwork and determination earned him a scholarship in 2019. Austin decided to forgo an extra season with the Hokies in 2021 to pursue his calling as a football coach. He currently is the offensive line coach for the Hanover High School Hawks in his native Mechanicsville, VA.
