Austin is a Virginia Tech graduate and member of the Hokies football team from 2016-2020. While he arrived in Blacksburg as a preferred walk on, Austin's hardwork and determination earned him a scholarship in 2019. Austin decided to forgo an extra season with the Hokies in 2021 to pursue his calling as a football coach. He currently is the offensive line coach for the Hanover High School Hawks in his native Mechanicsville, VA.
